The Kyoto pendant lamp stands out for its 45 cm diameter synthetic silk fabric shade and rounded silhouette with a strong decorative character. Its design is formed by repeated curved sections with vertical relief, creating an enveloping and recognisable volume. The wide format, visually restrained height and circular lower opening distinguish it from conventional conical shades.
Kyoto is a pendant lamp defined by a 45 cm diameter synthetic silk shade whose shape deliberately moves away from traditional conical designs. Its volume has a rounded and relatively flattened profile, with a broad lower section that gives the lamp much of its visual presence.
The shade is visually constructed from repeated curved sections running vertically around the piece. Each segment contributes to a continuous, organic silhouette, while the lower edge repeats the same rhythm through a gently undulating outline.
Viewed from below, the composition retains its segmented geometry around a central circular opening. This arrangement reinforces the symmetry of the piece and makes the radial organisation of the shade clearly visible.
With its 45 cm diameter, Kyoto creates a defined presence without relying on an overly tall form. It is particularly suitable when looking for a pendant lamp with a broad volume, visual texture and a clearly distinctive decorative silhouette.
Frequently asked questions:
What makes Kyoto different from a conventional pendant shade?
Its design is formed by curved vertical sections that create a rounded, segmented silhouette instead of the usual conical profile.
Is it a good choice if I want a lamp with visual presence but a restrained profile?
Yes. Its 45 cm diameter creates a broad shade, while its proportions keep the overall height visually more restrained than elongated designs.
How does the lamp look from underneath?
The central circular opening is surrounded by the different curved sections, making the radial composition and scalloped lower perimeter clearly visible.
What is the diameter of the shade?
The shade measures 45 cm in diameter.
