The Ovum armchair combines a high, enveloping silhouette with full upholstery in full-grain Italian leather. Designed for one person, it can be incorporated as a focal piece in living rooms, offices, reading corners and other Scandinavian, modern or contemporary interiors.
Inside, it features a fibreglass structure and high-density foam padding. This composition defines the curves of the armchair and forms the padded surfaces of the seat and backrest while maintaining the continuity of its characteristic enveloping silhouette.
The chair rests on an aluminium base with a polished chrome finish. In addition to swivelling, it incorporates a reclining system with automatic return, allowing the orientation and seating position to be changed without moving the entire chair.
The Ovum model is inspired by Arne Jacobsen’s Egg Chair. This reference can be seen in the high backrest, enveloping sides and sculptural composition of the seat, translated into a model with full-grain Italian leather, a metal base and swivel and reclining functions.
